Interpretation. |
2.—(1) In this Act— |
|
|
“the Act of 1978” means the Mergers, Take-overs and Monopolies (Control) Act, 1978 : |

|
“the Act of 1980” means the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980 ; |
||
|
“the Commission” means the Fair Trade Commission; |
||
|
“the Director” means the holder of the office of Director of Consumer Affairs established by section 9 of the Consumer Information Act,1978 , and known as the Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade by virtue of section 5 (2) of this Act; |
||
|
“the Examiner” means the Examiner of Restrictive Practices; |
||
|
“functions” includes powers and duties; |
||
|
“the Minister” means the Minister for Industry and Commerce; |
||
|
“the Principal Act” means the Restrictive Practices Act, 1972 . |
||
|
(2) A reference in this Act to a section is to a section of this Act unless it is indicated that a reference to some other provision is intended. |
||
|
(3) A reference in this Act to a subsection is a reference to the subsection of the section in which the reference occurs unless it is indicated that a reference to some other provision is intended. |
