RESTRICTION OF IMPORTS (AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE FROM SOUTH AFRICA) ORDER 1986.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Restriction of Imports Act, 1962 (No. 20 of 1962), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Restriction of Imports (Agricultural Produce from South Africa) Order, 1986, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1986.

2. The importation is hereby prohibited, save under and in accordance with a licence issued by the Minister for Agriculture, of goods consisting wholly or mainly of fruit, nuts or vegetables, whether fresh, dried, frozen, tinned or in other processed or preserved form, including extracts and juices, produced or manufactured in South Africa.

3. The Minister for Agriculture may, if he so thinks proper, prescribe by regulations provisions in accordance with which it shall be determined for the purpose of this Order whether goods were manufactured or produced in South Africa.
