S.I. No. 221/1986 - Health (Hospital In-Patient Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986.


The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by section 53 (2) of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health (Hospital In-Patient Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986.

2. The Health (Hospital In-Patient Charges) Regulations, 1984 ( S.I. No. 94 of 1984 ) are hereby amended by the substitution in article 3 (2) of "£150" for "£100".

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1986.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide that, with effect from 1st July, 1986, persons admitted for hospital in-patient services in a public hospital who are in arrears with health contributions will be liable for an admission charge of £150.
