TELEPHONE (AMENDMENT) SCHEME, 1986.

BORD TELECOM ÉIREANN, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 90 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), hereby makes the following Scheme:

1. (1) This Scheme may be cited as the Telephone (Amendment) Scheme, 1986.

(2) The Telephone Schemes, 1980 to 1985, and this Scheme may be cited together as the Telephone Schemes 1980 to 1986.

2. This Scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1986. However, without prejudice to any other right in that behalf, Bord Telecom Éireann may, for operational reasons, postpone in whole or in part the implementation of this Scheme in respect of such groups of subscribers or areas of the State as it shall determine provided that such postponement shall not exceed two months.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Scheme.

4. In this Scheme "the Scheme of 1985" means the Telephone (Amendment) Scheme, 1985 ( S.I. No. 81 of 1985 ).

5. The Minister for Communications pursuant to Section 90 (2) of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 , has concurred in the increase of charges effected by this Scheme.

6. The Telephone Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1980 ), are hereby amended by:

(a) The substitution of the following Schedule for the First Schedule thereto (inserted by paragraph 6 (c) of the Scheme of 1985):
