HIGH COURT CIRCUITS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1986.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 33 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 (No. 48 of 1936), as amended by the Courts Act, 1986 (No. 1 of 1986), and after consultation with the President of the High Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the High Court Circuits (Amendment) Order, 1986.

(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1986.

2. The County Borough of Galway is hereby added to the High Court Circuit known as the Western Circuit.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order formally adds the County Borough of Galway (which was established on 1st January, 1986 under section 5 of the Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985 ) to the Western Circuit of the High Court. Up to that date the area which now comprises the County Borough of Galway was, in fact, already part of the Western Circuit.
