DUBLIN CITY MANAGEMENT (RESERVED FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1986.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 51 of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930 (No. 27 of 1930), hereby directs and orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin City Management (Reserved Functions) Order, 1986.

2. As on and from the 27th day of January, 1986—

( a ) the power of Dublin County Borough Corporation to make charges for services provided in respect of domestic premises by virtue of section 2 of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) (No. 2) Act, 1983 (No. 21 of 1983), and

( b ) the power of Dublin County Borough Corporation to make charges for water supplied for domestic purposes by virtue of section 65A of the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1878, inserted by section 7 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1962 (No. 26 of 1962), as amended by section 8 of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) (No. 2) Act, 1983 (No. 21 of 1983),

shall be exercisable and performable directly by the Dublin City Council.

3. In this order "domestic premises" means a premises used wholly or mainly as a dwelling.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order transfers the power to make charges for services provided in respect of domestic premises situated in the Dublin County Borough Corporation area from the Manager to the elected members.
