FLUORIDATION OF WATER SUPPLIES (LIMERICK) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1985.

In exercise of the powers vested in the Minister for Health by sections 2 and 4 of the Health (Fluoridation of Water Supplies) Act, 1960 , (No. 46 of 1960) which said powers are delegated to me by the health (Delegation of Functions) Order, 1984, ( S.I. No. 4 of 1984 ), I, JOHN DONNELLAN, Minister of State at the Department of Health having complied with subsection (4) of section 2 of that Act and having consulted with the Minister for the Environment hereby make the following Regulations:—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Fluoridation of Water Supplies (Limerick) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985.

2. The Fluoridation of Water Supplies (Limerick) (Amendment) Regulations, 1965 ( S.I. No. 95 of 1965 ) are hereby amended by the addition to the First Schedule of the following paragraphs—

"5. South West Regional piped water supply.

6. Adare piped water supply.

7. Askeaton piped water supply.

8. Murroe piped water supply.

9. Newcastle West piped water supply."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations require the Mid-Western Health Board to arrange for the fluoridation of the South West Regional, Adare, Askeaton, Murroe and Newcastle West piped water supplies in addition to the public piped water supplies specified in the 1965 regulations, and require Limerick County Council, acting as agents for the Mid-Western Health Board to fluoridate the South-West Regional, Adare, Askeaton, Murroe and Newcastle West public piped water supplies.
