NEWSPAPERS (SPECIAL SERVICE FOR CONVEYANCE BY POST OFFICE MAIL VANS) AMENDMENT (NO. 10) SCHEME, 1985.

AN POST, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983) and with the consent of the Minister for Communications, hereby order as follows:—

1. (1) This Scheme may be cited as the Newspapers (Special Service for Conveyance by Post Office Mail Vans) Amendment (No. 10) Scheme, 1985.

(2) This Scheme shall come into operation on the 25th day of February, 1985.

2. The Schedule to the Newspapers (Special Service for conveyance by Post Office Mail Vans) Warrant, 1957, ( S.I. No. 37 of 1957 ), as amended by the Newspapers (Special Service for Conveyance by Post Office Mail Vans) Amendment (No. 9) Warrant, 1982 ( S.I. No. 63 of 1982 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Schedule to this Scheme.

SCHEDULE

"Where newspaper bundles are sent to the newsagent 10p per kg."

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Scheme comes into operation on the 25th February, 1985. It authorises an increase in the charges for the conveyance by Post Office mail vans on rural services of bundles of newly-published daily newspapers.
