LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SANITARY SERVICES) ACT, 1948 (SECTION 34) (COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT OF KILDARE) ORDER, 1984.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 , hereby orders as follows:

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 , (Section 34) (County Health District of Kildare) Order, 1984.

(2) Section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 , shall come into operation in the County Health District of Kildare on the 7th day after the date of this Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to bring section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 into operation in the County Health District of Kildare. Section 34 of that Act authorises a sanitary authority to grant to the occupier of land, or with the consent of such occupier to a camping organisation, a licence authorising the use during a specified period of twelve consecutive months of such land for camping. Camping will not be permissible in the area mentioned unless so licensed, subject to certain exceptions set out in the Act.
