CHILDREN ACT, 1941 (SECTION 21) REGULATIONS, 1984.

I, GEMMA HUSSEY, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 21 of the Children Act, 1941 (No. 12 of 1941), as adapted by the Health (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1947 (S.R. & O., No. 58 of 1947), hereby with the consent of the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Health, make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Children Act, 1941 (Section 21) Regulations, 1984.

2. The payments to be made by local authorities to the mangers of the certified schools named in the schedule to these Regulations for the maintenance of such children and youthful offenders as such local authorities are liable to maintain under section 74 of the Children Act, 1908, as amended by section 20 of the Children Act 1941 (No. 12 of 1941), shall, with effect from the 1st day of January, 1984, be £50 per week for each child and youthful offender in those schools.

3. The Children Act 1941 (Section 21) Regulations 1983 ( S.I. No. 44 of 1983 ) are hereby revoked.
