Amendment of Article 16 of the Constitution. |
1.—Article 16 of the Constitution is hereby amended as follows: | |
(a) the subsection set out in Part I of the Schedule to this Act shall be substituted for subsection 2° of section 1 of the Irish text, | ||
(b) the subsection set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Act shall be substituted for subsection 2° of section 1 of the English text, | ||
(c) “a dhícháileochadh saoránach ar bith nó duine ar bith eile, ar an bhforas céanna sin,” shall be inserted after “de Dháil Éireann nó” in subsection 3° of section 1 of the Irish text, | ||
(d) “or other person” shall be inserted after “disqualifying any citizen” in subsection 3° of section 1 of the English text. |
