STATE GUARANTEES ACT, 1954 (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE) ORDER, 1983.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 9 of the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (No. 9 of 1954), hereby make the following Order with respect to which, pursuant to that section, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Order, 1983.

(2) The State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Orders, 1957 to 1981, and this Order may be cited together as the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Orders, 1957 to 1983.

2. The Schedule to the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (No. 9 of 1954), is hereby amended by the substitution in the third column opposite the mention of Chipboard Products Limited in the second column of "£1,100,000" for "£400,000" (inserted by the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Order, 1981 (S.I. No. 348 of 1981)).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order increases to £1.1 million the maximum amount that may be guaranteed under the State Guarantees Act, 1954 in respect of moneys borrowed by Chipboard Products Ltd.
