ROAD TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY OF KERRY) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1983.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 46 of the said Act as amended by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kerry) (Amendment) Regulations, 1983.

(2) The Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kerry) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 145 of 1977 ) and these Regulations shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kerry) Regulations, 1977 to 1983.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 28th day of March, 1983.

3. The First Schedule to the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kerry) Regulations, 1977, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following matter for the matter at reference 3 (e)—

"3 (e) The Abbeydorney Road between the urban district boundary and a point 120 metres south-west of its junction with the Bullock Hill Road".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kerry) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 145 of 1977 ) by extending the speed limit of 30 miles per hour on the Abbeydorney Road at Tralee.
