LOCAL APPOINTMENTS COMMISSIONERS (COLLECTION OF FEES) ORDER, 1983.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by section 11 (1) of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , (No. 2 of 1922), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Order, 1983.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The fees chargeable by the Local Appointments Commissioners under section 10 (1) of the Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1926 (No. 39 of 1926), as amended by section 28 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955), shall be collected in money.

4. The Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Order, 1927 (S.R. and O., No. 10 of 1927), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order sets out the method of collecting fees chargeable to candidates for competitions held by the Local Appointments Commissioners.
