REGULATIONS ENTITLED LOCAL APPOINTMENTS COMMISSIONERS (COLLECTION OF FEES) REGULATIONS, 1983.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by section 11 (1) of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Regulations, 1983.

(2) These Regulations shall have effect from the date of coming into operation of the Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Order, 1983.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. The fees chargeable by the Local Appointments Commissioners under section 10 (1) of the Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1926 (No. 39 of 1926), as amended by section 28 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955), and to be taken in the office of the Local Appointments Commissioners shall be paid in legal tender notes or coins or by means of a banker's draft, money order, postal order or cheque.

4. The Local Appointments Commissioners (Collection of Fees) Regulations, 1927 (S.R. and O., No. 11 of 1927), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This regulation sets out the method of payment of fees chargeable to candidates for competitions held by the Local Appointments Commissioners.
