BRUCELLOSIS IN CATTLE (GENERAL PROVISIONS) (AMENDMENT) (No. 3) ORDER, 1982.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 and 19 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), as adapted by the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1977 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Brucellosis in Cattle (General Provisions) (Amendment) (No. 3) Order, 1982.

(2) The Brucellosis in Cattle (General Provisions) Orders, 1980 and 1981, and this Order may be cited together as the Brucellosis in Cattle (General Provisions) Orders, 1980 to 1982.

(3) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1982.

2. The following Schedule is hereby substituted for the First Schedule (inserted by the Brucellosis in Cattle (General Provisions) (Amendment) Order, 1981 (S.I. No. 369 of 1981)) to the Brucellosis in Cattle (General Provisions) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 286 of 1980 ):

"FIRST SCHEDULE

PART I

Clearance Area

The area comprising the administrative counties of Carlow, Cork, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Tipperary (North Riding), Tipperary (South Riding), Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow and the administrative county of Offaly (other than the part lying north and west of the River Brosna)

PART II

Disease-Free Area

The area comprising the administrative counties of Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo and Westmeath and that part of the administrative county of Offaly lying north and west of the River Brosna.

A reference in this Schedule to an administrative county includes a reference to a county borough of the same name".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the Brucellosis Free Area to include Counties Longford and Westmeath and the portion of County Offaly lying North and West of the River Brosna.
