DISABLED PERSONS (MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS 1982.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by sections 69 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1982.

2. Where a person is or becomes entitled to payment of a maintenance allowance under section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 in accordance with Article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations (S.I. No. 341 of 1981) as amended by article 3 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1982 ( S.I. No. 77 of 1982 ) in respect of each of the weeks commencing on the 5th day of September and the 5th day of December, 1982, any amount payable to him by way of a child dependant's allowance for those weeks shall be increased by a sum equal to that amount.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, in respect of each of the weeks commencing 5th September and 5th December, 1982 the maximum weekly rate of the element of the allowance appropriate to the recipients' child dependants payable under Section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 , by a sum equal to that amount.
