INDUSTRIAL TRAINING (CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR COMMITTEE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1982.

An Chomhairle Oiliúna, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 24 of the Industrial Training Act, 1967 (No. 5 of 1967), hereby makes the following order:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Clothing and Footwear Committee) (Amendment) Order, 1982.

2. In this Order "the Order of 1969" means the Industrial Training (Clothing and Footwear Committee) Order, 1969.

3. The Order of 1969 and this Order may be cited together as the Industrial Training (Clothing and Footwear Committee) Orders, 1969 and 1982.

4. Article 3 of the Order of 1969 is hereby amended by the substitution of "twenty-one ordinary members" for "twenty ordinary members".

5. The following Article is hereby substituted for Article 5 of the Order of 1969:—

"5. The ordinary members of the Committee shall include nine workers' members, nine employers' members, one educational member and two other ordinary members.".

6. The following paragraph is hereby substituted for paragraph (d) in Article 6 of the Order of 1969:—

"(d) After consultation with such organisations as An Chomhairle considers suitable, appoint two persons to be the other ordinary members.".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

An Chomhairle Oiliúna (The Industrial Training Authority) was established under the Industrial Training Act, 1967 , to promote training in industry and commerce.

The Industrial Training (Clothing and Footwear Committee) Order, 1969 ( S.I. No. 219 of 1969 ) established an industrial training committee, to be known as the Clothing and Footwear Industry Training Committee, to advise and assist An Chomhairle as respects the performance of its functions.

This Order amends the Industrial Training (Clothing and Footwear Committee) Order, 1969, by increasing the number of ordinary committee members to twenty-one.
