POSTAL ORDER (INLAND) AMENDMENT (No. 18) REGULATIONS, 1982.

I, JOHN WILSON, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 23 and 24 of the Post Office Act, 1908, section 5 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1951 (No. 17 of 1951), section 3 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 18) Regulations, 1982.

2. These Regulation shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1982.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. The Postal Order (Inland) Regulations, 1905, are hereby amended by the substitution of the following for Regulation 5 (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 17) Regulations, 1981 ( S.I. No. 309 of 1981 )):

"5. The poundage payable on postal order shall be as follows:

For an order for £0.10 and £0.15   ..............................

For an order for any multiple of £0.05 between £0.20 and

£0.95 both inclusive  .......................................................

For an order for any multiple of £1.00 between £1.00 and £10.00, both

inclusive, and for £1.25 and £1.50 .....................................

18p"
