S.I. No. 268/1981 - Dumping At Sea Act, 1981 (Commencement) Order, 1981.

I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Dumping at Sea Act, 1981 (No. 8 of 1981), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Dumping at Sea Act, 1981 (Commencement) Order, 1981.

2. The 10th day of August, 1981, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Dumping at Sea Act, 1981 (No. 8 of 1981), other than section 2, shall come into operation.

3. The 21st day of September, 1981, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 2 of the Dumping at Sea Act, 1981 , shall come into operation.

This Order brings the Dumping at Sea Act, 1981 except section 2, into operation on 10th August, 1981, and brings section 2 of that Act into operation on 21st September, 1981.
