DISABLED PERSONS (MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1980.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by section 69 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1980.

2. Where a person is or becomes entitled to payment of a maintenance allowance under section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 in accordance with article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1973 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1973 ) as amended by article 2 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1980 ( S.I. No. 92 of 1980 ), in respect of the week commencing on the 7th day of December, 1980, any amount payable to him by way of such allowance for that week shall be increased by a sum equal to that amount.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, in respect of the week commencing 7th December, 1980 the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under Section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 , by a sum equal to that amount.
