HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1980.

I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1980 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1980.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of February, 1980.

2. The maximum goods rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall, in lieu of the rates prescribed by Schedule "A" (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1977 )) to the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 (No. 3 (Private) of 1925), be the rates set out in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Order.

3. The maximum tonnage rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall, in lieu of the rates prescribed by section 43 (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1977) of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 , be the rates set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Order.

4. The maximum service rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners in respect of the use of their cranes and grabs shall be the rates set out in Part III of the Schedule to this Order.

5. The Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1977 is hereby revoked.

PART II.

MAXIMUM TONNAGE RATES.

For every vessel entering the port of Dundalk, on every ton of either the net register tonnage of such vessel or half the gross tonnage of such vessel, whichever is the greater, the sum of 31p. per ton.

PART III.

MAXIMUM SERVICE RATES.

1. For every tonne, or part thereof, of goods carried by the cranes of the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners .... 31p. per tonne.

2. For every tonne, or part thereof, of goods carried by the grabs of the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners .... 6p. per tonne.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order authorises Dundalk Harbour Commissioners to charge revised maximum goods, tonnage and service rates at Dundalk Harbour.
