Membership of Institute.

3.—(1) Every person who is—

(a) a member of the Governing Body,

(b) a member of the Academic Council,

(c) a member of the staff of the Institute,

(d) a registered student of the Institute, or

(e) a graduate of the Institute,

shall be a member of the Institute.

(2) Subject to subsection (3) of this section, no person shall be a member of the Institute unless at the time he is a member, he is qualified for membership pursuant to subsection (1) of this section.

(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (2) of this section, the Governing Body may, from time to time, confer membership of the Institute on a person who is not qualified for membership pursuant to subsection (1) of this section, and any such person shall be a member of the Institute until the Governing Body otherwise declare.
