Service of notices, etc.

20.—(1) Where a notice or certificate is required by this Act or by regulations under this Act to be given to a person, it may be given to him—

(a) by delivering it to him,

(b) in the case of a person other than a body corporate, by sending it by post in an envelope addressed to him at the address at which he ordinarily resides or carries on business, or

(c) in the case of a body corporate, by sending it by post in an envelope addressed to the secretary or principal officer of the body at the address at which the body carries on business, or by delivering it in an envelope so addressed, to that address.

(2) For the purposes of subsection (1) of this section, a company within the meaning of the Act of 1963 shall be deemed to carry on business at its registered offices and every other body corporate and every unincorporated body of persons shall be deemed to carry on business at its principal office or place of business.
