CITY AND COUNTY OF CORK (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1978.

I, BRENDAN HENSEY, An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 and Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the City and County of Cork (Registrars' Districts) Order, 1978.

2. The division of the City and County of Cork into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The present Registrars' Districts of Cork No. 1 Rural and Douglas shall be amalgamated so as to form one Registrar's District to be known as Cork No. 1 District.

( b ) The present Registrar's District of Cork No. 2 Rural shall be known as Cork No. 2 District.

( c ) The present Registrars' Districts of Cork Urban Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 shall be amalgamated so as to form one Registrar's District to be known as Cork No. 3 District.

( d ) The present Registrars' Districts of Cork Urban Nos. 5, 6 and 7 shall be amalgamated so as to form one Registrar's District to be known as Cork No. 4 District.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the first day of October nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Order is to amalgamate certain registrars' districts in the City and County of Cork and to make provision for consequential matters.
