SUPERANNUATION (DESIGNATION OF APPROVED ORGANISATIONS) REGULATIONS, 1978.

I, RAY MACSHARRY, Minister of State at the Department of the Public Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (1) of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963), the Public Service (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1973 ), and the Public Service (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order. 1978 ( S.I. No. 117 of 1978 ), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1978.

(2) The Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1976, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1978.

2. The organisations set out in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby designated as approved organisations for the purposes of section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963).

Schools, service in which is pensionable in accordance with a scheme made under the Teachers' Superannuation Act, 1928 (No. 32 of 1928).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 , provides for the transfer of pensionable service in the case of staff transfers between the Civil Service and "approved organisations" and between one "approved organisation" and another. These regulations designate the organisations set out in the schedule as "approved organisations".
