SHEEP DIPPING ORDER, 1965 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1977.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 35 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), as adapted by the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S. I. No. 31 of 1977 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Sheep Dipping Order, 1965 (Amendment) Order, 1977.

(2) The Sheep Dipping Orders, 1965 and 1976, and this Order may be cited together as the Sheep Dipping Orders, 1965 to 1977.

2. Article 3 of the Sheep Dipping Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 105 of 1965 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of "the fifteenth day of September" for "the first day of October" in the definition of "dipping period" (inserted by Article 4 of the Sheep Dipping Order, 1965 (Amendment) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 107 of 1976 )), and the said definition, as amended by this Article, is set out in the following Table.

'' 'dipping period', subject to Article 20A of this Order, means the period beginning on the fifteenth day of September in any year and ending on the thirty-first day of January in the following year; ";

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to change the commencing date of the dipping period as prescribed by the Sheep Dipping Orders, 1965 and 1976 from 1st October to the 15th September.
