EXPORTED LIVE STOCK (INSURANCE) ACT, 1940 (APPOINTED PERCENTAGE UNDER SECTION 16) ORDER, 1977.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 16 (2) of the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (No. 25 of 1940), and after consultation with the National Executive of the Irish Live Stock Trade, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (Appointed Percentage under Section 16) Order, 1977.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 9th day of May, 1977.

2. Six tenths of one per cent. is hereby appointed to be the appointed percentage for the purposes of section 16 of the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (No. 25 of 1940).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is that as from the 9th May, 1977, the levy payable to the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Board under the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Acts, 1940 to 1950, in respect of live stock exported to Britain shall be 60p per £100 of the value of the animals.
