FINANCE ACT, 1976 (PART V) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1977.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (3) of Section 64 of the Finance Act, 1976 (No. 16 of 1976) hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 1976 (Part V) (Commencement Order), 1977.

2. Section 66 of the Finance Act, 1976 , shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1977.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 6th April, 1977 the provisions of Section 66 of the Finance Act, 1976 . This section enables the Minister to make Regulations providing for certain exemptions from all or any of the requirements of Part V of the Act other than those contained in Section 70 relating to continuous liability for the payment of road tax.
