GREYHOUND RACE TRACK (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1977.

Bord na gCon, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 32 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958) and with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say: —

(1) The Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1964 (No. 131 of 1964) are hereby revoked.

(2) The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be calculated at the rate of six per cent of such course bet.

(3) These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1977.

(4) These regulations shall come into operation on the 4th day of April, 1977.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to fix the rate of levy payable to Bora na gCon on course bets at greyhound race tracks at 6%.
