FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (No. 11) WARRANT, 1977.

I, CONOR CRUISE O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 , 3 and 6 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:—

1. (1) This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 11) Warrant, 1977.

(2) This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1977.

2. In this Warrant

"the Principal Warrant" means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant. 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 );

"the Warrant of 1975" means the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 10) Warrant 1975 ( S.I. No. 316 of 1975 ).

3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 5 of the Warrant of 1975) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Warrant.

4. The Third Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 6 of the Warrant of 1975) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Warrant.

5. The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 8 of the Warrant of 1975) of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Warrant.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

"Maximum Postage:

Parcel (except an Air Mail parcel)

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Warrant applies to the Foreign Parcel Post service and comes into operation on the 1st April, 1977. It authorises an increase in the maximum postage which may be charged on a foreign surface parcel from £10 to £12 and on a foreign air parcel from £1.50 to £2 per ½ lb. It also authorises increases in fees charged for the Insurance, Customs Clearance and Cash-on-Delivery services.
