EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (ROAD TRANSPORT) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1977.

I, TOM FITZPATRICK, T.D., Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Road Transport) (Amendment) Regulations, 1977.

2. The European Communities (Road Transport) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1974 ) shall be construed as if the reference in Regulation 2 to Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2829/72 of 28 December, 1972 were a reference to Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3164/761 of 16 December, 1976.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of these Regulations is to continue in force the provisions of the European Communities (Road Transport) Regulations, 1974 relating to the Community quota for the carriage of goods by road between Member States of the EEC.
