THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) ACT, 1976 (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1976.

The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (3) of section 46 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 (No. 20 of 1976), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1976.

2. In this Order—

"the Act" means the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 ;

"the Principal Act" means the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 (No. 28 of 1963).

3. On the 1st day of November, 1976—

( a ) sections 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 36 of the Act shall come into operation;

( b ) section 45 of the Act shall come into operation for the purpose of effecting the repeal of paragraph ( b ) of section 24 (4) of the Principal Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 1st November, 1976, certain provisions of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 , and brings into operation on that day the repeal of section 24 (4) ( b ) of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 .
