ROAD TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY BOROUGH OF DUBLIN AND COUNTY OF DUBLIN) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1976.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 46 of the said Act as amended by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) (Amendment) Regulations, 1976.

(2) The Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1970 and 1974 and these Regulations shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1970 to 1976.

2. These Regulations come into operation on the 26th day of July, 1976.

3. In these Regulations the "Principal Regulations" means the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1970.

4. The First Schedule to the Principal Regulations is hereby amended as follows:—

(i) by the addition of the following matter at reference 2—

"(w) The Stillorgan Road between the County Borough boundary and a point 180 metres south of its junction with Anglesea Road."

(ii) by the addition of the following matter at reference 3—

"(v) The new Stillorgan Road between its junction with Foster's Avenue and a point 92 metres northeast of its junction with Booterstown Avenue.

(w) The road connecting the new Stillorgan Road with The Rise for a distance of 42 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road."

5. The Third Schedule to the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the addition of the following matter at reference 7—

"( ggg ) The new Stillorgan Road between the County Borough boundary and a point 92 metres south west of its junction with Booterstown Avenue.

( hhh ) The slip lane off the new Stillorgan Road to Woodbine Road for a distance of 35 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( iii ) The slip lane on to the new Stillorgan Road from Woodbine Road for a distance of 50 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( jjj ) The slip lane off the new Stillorgan Road to Belfield for a distance of 80 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( kkk ) The slip lane on to the new Stillorgan Road from Belfield for a distance of 50 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( lll ) The old Stillorgan Road (adjacent to Foster's Avenue) for a distance of 45 metres north-west of its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( mmm ) The new Stillorgan Road between a point 92 metres south-east of its junction with Priory Drive and a point 138 metres north of its southernmost junction with Stillorgan Grove.

( nnn ) The new link road connecting Stillorgan Park with the new Stillorgan Road for a distance of 40 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( ooo ) The new link road connecting the new Stillorgan Road with the old Stillorgan Road for a distance of 40 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road.

( ppp ) The Stillorgan Road between the County Borough boundary and a point 180 metres south of its junction with Anglesea Road.

( qqq ) The road connecting the new Stillorgan Road with The Rise for a distance of 42 metres from its junction with the new Stillorgan Road".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations 1970 and 1974 and alter the speed limits applicable to certain roads in County Dublin).
