HARBOURS ACT, 1946 (COMMENCEMENT OF PART II) (BANTRY BAY HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS) ORDER, 1976.

I, PETER BARRY, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946) (as amended by the Harbours Act, 1976 (No. 5 of 1976)), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbours Act, 1946 (Commencement of Part II) (Bantry Bay Harbour Commissioners) Order, 1976.

2. The year 1976 is hereby appointed to be the year in which Part II of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), shall come into operation in respect of Bantry Bay Harbour Commissioners.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation, in relation to Bantry Bay Harbour Commissioners, Part II of the Harbours Act, 1946 , which deals with members and procedure of a harbour authority.
