Construction of “Ministry”.

2.—(1) Notwithstanding the definition of “the Ministry” in section 2 of the Principal Act, where the functions exercisable by the Ministry of Commerce in Northern Ireland under the law corresponding to the Foyle Fisheries Acts, 1952 and 1961, are, under the law for the time being in force in Northern Ireland, exercisable by any other Ministry, Department or authority, references to “the Ministry” in provisions of the Principal Act conferring functions on the said Ministry of Commerce shall be construed as references to any such other Ministry, Department or authority, as the case may be.

(2) This section shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1962: Provided that nothing in this Act shall have the effect of making or declaring any acts to be unlawful which were not unlawful at the time of their commission.
