POUNDS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1975.

I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 of the Pounds (Provision and Maintenance) Act, 1935 (No. 17 of 1935), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1975.

2. The Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1972, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1975.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. The Pounds Regulations, 1938 ( S.R. & O. No. 149 of 1938 ), shall have effect, in relation to chattels and animals impounded on or after the 1st day of January, 1976, as if the following Table were substituted for the Table (inserted by the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 12 of 1972 )) in the Second Schedule:

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to increase, with effect as on and from 1st January, 1976, the pound-keepers' fees prescibed in the Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1972.
