DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT, 1966 (FIRST SCHEDULE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1975.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 11 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 , (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Order, 1975.

(2) The Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1972, and this Order may be cited together as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1975.

2. For the purpose of extending the application of sections 12 , 13 and 27 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), the First Schedule to that Act (as amended by the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1972) is hereby amended by the insertion in Part III thereof at the end of Class A of the following:

" 13 Teschen disease

14 Swine Influenza

15 Transmissible Gastro-Enteritis

16 Infectious Laryngo-Tracheitis

17 Arizona disease

18 African Horse Sickness

19 Dourine

20 Venezuelan Equine Encephalomyelitis

21 Infectious Equine Anaemia ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the definition of "disease" in the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 to include further diseases of pigs, horses and poultry.
