EXCHANGE CONTROL REGULATIONS, 1975.

I, RICHIE RYAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 27 and 31 of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 (No. 30 of 1954), as continued by the Exchange Control (Continuance) Act, 1974 (No. 26 of 1974), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Exchange Control Regulations, 1975.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 18th day of August, 1975.

(3) The Exchange Control Regulations, 1959 to 1974, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Exchange Control Regulations, 1959 to 1975.

2. Trinity Bank Limited, 40 Dame Street, Dublin 2, and Ulster Investment Bank Limited, 2 Hume Street, Dublin 2, are each hereby appointed to be an authorised dealer.

3. Article 19 of the Exchange Control Regulations, 1959 ( S.I. No. 44 of 1959 ), is hereby amended by the substitution in paragraph (a) of "£300" for "£250" (inserted by the Exchange Control (Amendment) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 62 of 1960 )).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations add Trinity Bank Limited, 40 Dame Street, Dublin 2, and Ulster Investment Bank Limited, 2 Hume Street, Dublin 2, to the list of authorised dealers for the purposes of the Exchange Control Acts.

The Regulations also amend the Exchange Control Regulations, 1959, by increasing, from £250 to £300, the exempted amount of foreign currency notes which may be exported by travellers to destinations outside Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
