MAXIMUM PRICES (BUTTER) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1975.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Butter) (No. 2) Order, 1975.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1975.

3. The maximum prices at which butter (other than butter in ½ lb. foil wrapped packs containing no salt and marked as such by the manufacturer), whether foil or parchment wrapped, may be sold by retail shall be prices calculated at the rate of 37p per lb.

4. The Maximum Prices (Butter) Order, 1975 ( S.I. No. 46 of 1975 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the maximum retail price which may be charged for butter and revokes the Maximum Prices (Butter) Order, 1975.
