ROAD TRAFFIC (PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLES) (AMENDMENT) (No. 3) REGULATIONS, 1975.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 82 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations, 1975.

(2) The Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Regulations, 1963 to 1975 and these Regulations shall be construed as one.

(3) The collective citation "the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Regulations, 1963 to 1975" shall include these Regulations.

2. Sub-article (1) of article 2 of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations, 1973 ( S.I. No. 225 of 1973 ) shall be amended by the substitution therein of the word "June" for the word "September" (as substituted therein by the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1975 )).

3. The Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1975 ) are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations restore the period for applications for licences for public service vehicles for use as public hire vehicles to the 1st to 14th June in any year. Under the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1975 ) the period had been deferred to 1st to 14th September.
