MAXIMUM PRICES (MARGARINE AND COOKING FATS) ORDER, 1975.

I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Margarine and Cooking Fats) Order, 1975.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of April, 1975.

3. (1) The maximum price at which a commodity mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in column (3) of that Schedule at that reference number.

(2) When a commodity mentioned in the Schedule to this Order is sold by retail in a manner other than that specified in relation to the commodity in that Schedule, the price at which it is so sold shall be calculated at a rate corresponding to the rate specified in relation to the commodity in that Schedule.

4. The Maximum Prices (Household Goods) (No. 3) Order, 1975, ( S.I. No. 43 of 1975 ), is hereby amended by the deletion of the matter at reference numbers 24 to 33.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the maximum retail prices which may be charged for margarine and cooking fats and amends the Maximum Prices (Household Goods) (No. 3) Order, 1975 by removing the price of margarine and cooking fats from the scope of that Order.
