NATIONAL PRICES COMMISSION (ESTABLISHMENT) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1975.

I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Prices Commission (Establishment) (Amendment) Order, 1975, and shall come into operation on the 8th day of April, 1975.

2. The National Prices Commission (Establishment) Order, 1971 ( S.I. No. 285 of 1971 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph 4:

"4. (1) The body shall consist of such and so many persons as the Minister shall from time to time appoint to be members of the body.

(2) The Minister shall from time to time appoint a member of the body to be chairman of the body and the chairman and members of the body shall be paid such remuneration as the Minister, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, may from time to time determine.

(3) The term of office and conditions of service of a member of the body shall be fixed from time to time by the Minister.

(4) The Civil Service Regulations Acts, 1956 and 1958, shall not apply to the office of member of the body".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order amends the National Prices Commission (Establishment) Order, 1971 to enable alterations to be made in the membership of the Commission.
