MAXIMUM PRICES (FLOUR) ORDER, 1975.

I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Flour) Order, 1975.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 6th day of March, 1975.

3. The maximum price at which plain white flour may be sold by retail is hereby fixed at 22½p per kilogram.

4. The maximum price at which wheatenmeal, wheatmeal or wholemeal may be sold by retail is hereby fixed at 21½p per kilogram.

5. When a commodity mentioned in Article 3 or 4 of this Order is sold by retail in a manner other than that specified in relation to the commodity in the said Article 3 or 4, the price at which it is so sold shall be calculated at a rate corresponding to the rate specified in relation to the commodity in the said Article 3 or 4, as the case may be.

6. The Maximum Prices (Household Goods) (No. 2) Order, 1975 ( S.I. No. 24 of 1975 ), is hereby amended by the deletion of the matter at Reference numbers 1 and 2 in the Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order fixes the Maximum retail price which may be charged for Flour, Wheatenmeal, Wheatmeal and Wholemeal and amends the Maximum Prices (Household Goods) (No. 2) Order 1975 by removing these commodities from the scope of that Order.
