S.I. No. 112/1974 - Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora (Hours of Business) Regulations, 1974.


The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4 of the Vital Statistics and Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act, 1952 (No. 8 of 1952) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora (Hours of Business) Regulations, 1974.

2. In these Regulations "public holiday" means—

( a ) any day which is a public holiday for the purposes of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1973 (No. 25 of 1973), and

( b ) Good Friday.

3. Every person shall be entitled to make the searches of the indexes of the registers referred to in section 70 of the Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1844, section 50 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, and section 17 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, during the period from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on any of the following days, other than a day which is a public holiday:— Mondays to Fridays.

4. The Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora (Hours of Business) Regulations, 1967 ( S.I. No. 114 of 1967 ) are hereby revoked.
