HEALTH (POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1974.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 78 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health (Possession of Controlled Substances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1974.

2. The Health (Possession of Controlled Substances) Regulations, 1970 ( S.I. No. 99 of 1970 ), are hereby amended by the insertion of the following in paragraph 2 of the Schedule thereto:—

"Cannabinol and its tetrahydro derivatives and the 3-alkyl homologues of cannabinol or of its tetrahydro derivatives".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to add to the list of substances specified in the Health (Possession of Controlled Substances) Regulations, 1970, the substance cannabinol and certain of its derivatives.
