WATERFORD COUNTY COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1974.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 (7) of the Local Government Act, 1941 , (No. 23 of 1941), hereby orders as follows:

1. The number of members of the Council of the County of Waterford to be elected for the county electoral area of Tramore shall be altered from six to seven and the number of members to be elected for the county electoral area of Lismore shall be altered from five to four and the third column of the Schedule to the Waterford County Council Order, 1942, shall be amended accordingly.

2. This Order may be cited as the Waterford County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974.

3. This Order and the Waterford County Council Order, 1942, may be cited collectively as the Waterford County Council Orders, 1942 and 1974.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to provide that in a local election for the Council of the County of Waterford seven members shall be elected for the electoral area of Tramore and four members shall be elected for the electoral area of Lismore.
