LONGFORD COUNTY COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) ORDER, 1974.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 33 (7) of the Local Government Act, 1941 (No. 23 of 1941), hereby orders as follows:—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Longford County Council (Amendment) (No. 2) Order, 1974.

(2) This Order and the Longford County Council Order, 1942, and the Longford County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974 may be cited collectively as the Longford County Council Orders, 1942 to 1974.

2. The Schedule to the Longford County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974, is hereby amended by the transfer of the townlands of Aghakeeran, Ballinrooey, Cranally and Culray in the District Electoral Division of Sonnagh from Longford Electoral Area to Granard Electoral Area.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to alter the division of Longford County into electoral areas by transferring certain townlands from Longford electoral area to Granard electoral area.
