HEALTH CONTRIBUTIONS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1973.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4 and 12 of the Health Contributions Act 1971 (No. 21 of 1971), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Contributions (Amendment) Regulations, 1973;

2. Article 4 of the Health Contribution Regulations, 1971 ( S.I. No. 278 of 1971 ) is hereby amended by the insertion of the words "and employees in the categories mentioned in Section 13 (1) (b) of the Social Welfare Act 1973 (No. 15 of 1973)" after "agriculture ";

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 2nd day of July 1973.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations remove liability to pay health contributions from persons no longer required to pay employment contributions, under Section 13 (1) (b) of the Social Welfare Act 1973 .
