DUBLIN DISTRICT MILK BOARD (LEVY) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1973.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 , and by section 41 (as amended by section 19 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 11 of 1941), and section 7 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1952 (No. 9 of 1952) ) of that Act, as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), do hereby order and make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dublin District Milk Board (Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 1973.

2. In these Regulations—

"the Board" means the Dublin District Milk Board;

"the section" means section 41 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), as amended by section 19 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 11 of 1941), and Section 7 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1952 (No. 9 of 1952).

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. (1) For the purposes of the levy payable to the Board under subsection (1) (b) of the section—

( a ) the prescribed sum shall, in respect of the month of April, 1973, and each subsequent month be 0.392 new pence;

( b ) regulation 4 (1) (a) of the Dublin District Milk Board (Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 1971 ( S.I. No. 16 of 1971 ), shall not apply in relation to any such month.

(2) For the purposes of the levy payable to the Board under subsection 2 (b) of the section—

( a ) the prescribed sum shall, in respect of the month of April, 1973, and each subsequent month be 0.392 new pence;

( b ) regulation 4 (2) (a) of the Regulations mentioned in paragraph (1) (b) shall not apply in relation to any such month.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prescribe the amount of the milk levy payable to the Dublin District Milk Board by registered retailers and registered wholesalers and by certain registered producers as from 1st April 1973.
